I just want to start the first stage of chemotherapy treatment that needs to take place and hopefully inspire others to do their part and contribute to different stages of the cure."
Still, Busta recognizes those artists who are taking a stand against the "dying industry" by putting out "great music," stating, "Jay-Z put out an incredible album this year and Lil Wayne put out an incredible album last year." Others he commends include Jadakiss, Drake and Trey Songz.
Busta's also played a role this year with the release of "B.S.," which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, selling 135,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Although a single hasn't been selected yet, Busta says fans can expect new music to hit the radio waves and blogosphere next month. So far, features on "Chemo" include Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Wyclef Jean, Sean "Diddy" Combs and his collective, Dirty Money.
Busta recently signed a "very lucrative business deal" with Venom Energy drinks, a beverage under the Snapple company umbrella. Tyler joined Perry and his Project for an encore version of "Walk This Way." Before the song he told the crowd that "I am not leaving Aerosmith" and told Perry "you are a man of many colors, but I am the motherf--king rainbow!"

The appearance followed several days of online sniping and fan speculation about the future of Aerosmith in the wake of a Tyler interview with Britain's Classic Rock magazine, in which he said that his next project was "definitely going to be something Steven Tyler: working on the brand of myself -- Brand Tyler." Perry interpreted that to mean Tyler was leaving Aerosmith; he told the Las Vegas Sun that "Steven quit as far as I can tell" and subsequently tweeted that Tyler "is doing his own thing and said so in the press. That's all I know."
On Monday Perry tweeted that "Aerosmith is definitely NOT breaking up" and that the group is "positively looking for a new singer to work with. You just can't take 40 years of experience and throw it in the bin!" He followed up with a declaration that "Aerosmith is not splitting up. Promise that's the last you'll hear from me on the subject till we gear up again." His only subsequent messages have been about the Joe Perry Project tour in support of his new solo album "Have Guitar, Will Travel."
No one is yet saying, however, whether Tyler's announcement that he's "not leaving" Aerosmith changes the group's intention to look for another singer.
Aerosmith last performed during October in Abu Dhabi after canceling a North American tour with ZZ Top following Tyler's fall from the stage on Aug. 5 in Sturgis, S.D. The singer, who has separate management form the rest of Aerosmith, is expected to publish an autobiography in 2010 (pushed back from a planned release this year) but has not announced plans for any musical endeavors outside of Aerosmith. Britney Spears has done it again, hitting the headlines during her first Australian tour over a row about lip-synching and a lacklustre performance that her tour promoter said had left her "extremely upset."
Australian media reported that fans walked out of the first of Spears' 14 Australian performances that was staged in Perth on Friday (Nov. 6) after just a few songs, describing it as "boring," "stiff," mimed and lacking interaction with the audience.
But the promoter of Spears' Australian "Circus" tour, her manager and some fans rushed to her defense, saying this savaging has left the U.S. pop singer traumatized.
"Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it," Paul Dainty, Spears' tour promoter, told the Australian newspaper on Monday.
"She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting."
Dainty said it was a total fabrication to suggest that fans had stormed out of the show as early as the third song after paying between $200 to $1,500 to see the 27-year-old singer who has rebuilt her career after a high-profile meltdown.
Before her world tour started in March to promote her sixth studio album, Spears had only done a handful of live concerts in recent years as her personal life ran out of control.
This included stints in psychiatric care, an ugly divorce, losing custody of her two sons, shaving her head and partying without panties.
Spears has been at the center of debate over lip-synching since she arrived in Australia last week, even though it's no secret that she mimes as she dances in her circus-themed show.
The Fair Trade Minister for the state of New South Wales, Virginia Judge, ignited the debate by saying Australians would not tolerate a "Mickey Mouse" performance by Spears, who rose to fame as a member of Disney's "Mickey Mouse Club" TV series.
Judge suggested concert tickets should carry disclaimers about whether parts of concerts were pre-recorded and mimed.
Dainty said it was well known that part of Spears concert was lip-synched and blasted any inference that this was hidden.
"It's been all over the Internet for nine months," Dainty said. "This show is about an incredible spectacle, which it is."
Spears' manager Adam Leber took to Spears' Twitter account to defend the singer to her 3.7 million followers.
"Its unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn't enjoy the show last night. Fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did. - Adam" he wrote.
The management from the Burswood Dome in Perth, where Spears' show was staged, told local reporters that they had not received any complaints from the 17,000 people who were at the show. A similar number attended Spears' show the next night as well.
Thousands of fans flooded Spears' personal Web site and Twitter to congratulate her on her comeback, describing her Perth performances as "amazing," "awesome" and "brilliant." (Reuters)

Beyonce won a hat-trick of awards at the 16th MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) at Berlin's O2 World Arena, which also marked the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The ceremony was also notable for a third MTV EMAs honor for German pop-rock act Tokio Hotel the band also won in 2007 and 2008 - and the live performance by U2 with Jay-Z as surprise guest in front of the Brandenburg Gate. An audience numbering over 9,000 in the arena witnessed a show lasting over two hours that provided a spectacular prelude to the celebrations marking the anniversary of German reunification.
Beyoncé was greeted with a standing ovations when, wearing a scarlet bodice replete with red suspenders, she emerged from a gigantic red box. She then went on to receive three awards, one for best singer, another for best song for "Halo" and the third one for best video for "Single Ladies." Visibly touched, she thanked her husband saying "there's only one person I want to thank and that's Jay-Z, who put a ring on my finger." Jay-Z won the award for best urban act, to which he responded: "I am looking forward to the time when all the walls fall and it's all only about music."
After performing their hit "World Behind My Wall" with twelve-meter high flame throwers behind them, Tokio Hotel went on to win the award for best group, beating Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Jonas Brothers and Kings Of Leon. Host Katy Perry referred to Tokio Hotel as the best example of German reunification, explaining that all the band members had come from eastern Germany. Bill Kaulitz, the lead singer of Tokio Hotel, commented: "We had not expected to beat all these great bands. We are very proud and thank you for your love, energy and unerring support." Their fans in the audience at the O2 World responded with a deafening concert of screams lasting several minutes.
U2's open-air concert in front of the Brandenburg Gate, which was shown in the O2 World Arena, met with a very enthusiastic response and featured Jay-Z on "Sunday, Bloody Sunday." With a gigantic laser shower, it proved to be a gigantic declaration of love for Berlin. Berlin mayor Klaus Wowereit commented: "What a spectacular concert!"
After the fall of the Wall, U2 had travelled to Berlin to record their "Achtung Baby" album in the Hansa Studios directly adjacent to the Wall. The album cover was illustrated with the Eastern Germany "Trabant" car. The single "One" became something of a "reunification anthem" in Germany. Speaking in German, Bono called out to the audience "Berlin, you're wonderful." Ten thousand people had received free tickets for the concert from MTV over the Internet. A light show projected parts of the wall onto the Brandenburg Gate, which was built over 200 years ago. The sign on the Gate bearing the words "No access" segued into the word "Freedom" complete with hearts. The audience applauded wildly when U2 played hits such as "Sunday, Bloody Sunday," "One Love" and "One." After the concert, Bono accepted the award for best live act on behalf of U2.
The concert had attracted harsh criticism, however. As the local daily newspaper "Berliner Kurier" had written, "A free gift to the people of Berlin to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall? That's what you think. Only 10,000 fans will be lucky enough to be there. Partitions have been set up blocking the view of the Brandenburg Gate and the entire area is cordoned off. Only holders of the coveted tickets are allowed in. Everyone else will be turned away. The fans are furious. A new wall has been constructed to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall. Is that someone's idea of a bad joke?" MTV Networks International issued a statement saying that it worked closely with its local promoter DEAG, the borough of Berlin and the Berlin Police department on security, explaining that the barriers had been set up to protect the shops in the surrounding streets. Said one Berlin local sarcastically: "MTV has continued the good tradition of our history with these barriers."
The other award winners at the Nov. 5 ceremony were Green Day for best rock band, Linkin Park for best worldwide live performance and Placebo for best alternative. MaNga from Turkey received the award for best European band. Pixie Lott got the first MTV Push Artist award. Lady Gaga, who with five nominations had been a favorite for a number of awards, went home with only one - for best new act. She did not come to Berlin in person but sent greetings by video. Similarly, Eminem, who won the best male artist category, was not present in person in Berlin.
Internet voters selected Silbermond, who also come from eastern Germany, as best German band. Said vocalist Stefanie Kloß: "We particularly appreciate this award as we were democratically chosen by the music fans on the Internet."
There was a long list of celebrity award presenters, including David Hasselhoff, who had landed a hit 20 years before with "Looking for Freedom." "That was the best moment in my life - aside from the birth of my daughter. I came back to say thank you," he said. Hasselhoff attributed the fall of the Wall to the Eastern Berliners' strong yearning for a normal life in freedom.
Other presenters included Backstreet Boys, Juliette Lewis, Jean Reno, Jonas Brothers, Lil' Kim and boxer Vladimir Klitschko.
Shakira, who performed "Did It Again," the bands Green Day and Foo Fighters and Leona Lewis were particularly popular with the audience. Presenter Katy Perry put on a brave face when she hovered on a trapeze above the audience, stretched out on a grand piano and lolled about on a sofa in a bodice. At the end of the show, sitting on a crescent moon high above the stage, she wished the audience a safe trip home.

"I caught him in a lie and he wouldn't tell the truth, so, I wouldn't drop it," Rihanna told Diane Sawyer in a clip that aired on "Good Morning America." "I couldn't take that he kept lying to me and he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it because obviously his back was against the wall -- the truth was right here in the text message. So, it accelarated towards him being violent towards me and it was ugly."
After confirming original reports that he'd bitten and punched her to the point she had a bloody mouth, Rihanna said that Brown had completely "blacked out. It wasn't the same person that says I love you. It was not those… eyes," she said. "He had no soul in his eyes -- just blank. He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him. All I kept thinking all the time, 'When is it going to stop? When it is going to stop?'"
Although the two briefly reunited after the February assault, Rihanna says she knew she had to make a decision to walk away. "He didn't accept that very well. He obviously didn't want us to be apart, but I knew I had to make a decision for me," she said.
Rihanna says she decided to speak publicly about the incident as an example for others. "I knew I had to do this in order to move on for me and in order for my fans to move on with me because it would always be a question in their mind," she said. "I don't want that five years from now every time they see Rihanna, they think of Chris Brown beating me. That's not who I am. It's just one thing that happened to me."
Following the preview of Rihanna's interview on 20/20, Brown's camp took to Twitter and accused Rihanna of lying and being a different person for the cameras. "I wish dancers can speak about things that really go on! Let me just say, Chris Brown was pushed to the extreme!" tweeted one of Brown's dancers.

Jason DeRulo will become the fourth artist of 2009 to take their first charting single to No. 1 as his "Whatcha Say" will top the Billboard Hot 100 chart to be released tomorrow (Nov. 5). He replaces fellow newbie Owl City, which sees its "Fireflies" fall to No. 2. Other artists to take their debut single to No. 1 this year were Jay Sean with "Down" (No. 4 this week) and Lady Gaga with "Just Dance." Gaga, meanwhile, holds at No. 6 with "Paparazzi" and has the Hot Shot Debut at No. 9 with "Bad Romance," one of the new tracks from her upcoming album re-release "The Fame Monster." The title opens at No. 3 on Digital Songs with 142,000 downloads.

It is yet another album reissue that leads to the most intriguing Hot 100 happenings however. Taylor Swift, with each of the new tracks on her "Fearless (Platinum Edition)" album, becomes the first artist in the history of the Hot 100 to debut five songs within the top 30 in a single week. "Jump Then Fall" fares the best, opening at No. 10, followed by "Untouchable" (No. 19), "The Other Side of the Door" (No. 22), "Superstar" (No. 27) and "Come In With the Rain" (No. 30). Those tracks join three other Swift singles on the list. "Forever & Always," which appears in a redone version on the "Platinum Edition" album, re-enters at No. 34, joining chart holdovers "You Belong With Me" (No. 14) and "Fifteen" (No. 49).
Swift's eight chart listings give her the record for most charted titles in a single week by a female artist. Among all artists, the Beatles lead with 14 entries (April 11, 1964).
Back in the top 10, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys jump 13-3 as both the Airplay and Digital Gainer with "Empire State of Mind." The duo performed the song prior to game 2 of the World Series on Fox on Thursday, Oct. 29, leading to a download spike of 62%. Jay-Z's prior single "Run This Town," with Rihanna and Kanye West, dips 5-7.

Michael Jackson Hits Nº 1 With "This Is It"

To the surprise of probably nobody, Michael Jackson's "This Is It" will debut atop the Billboard 200 albums chart released today (Nov. 4) with an eye-popping 373,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan -- the fifth-best sales week for an album in the U.S. this year.

The companion album to the musical documentary film of the same name is Jackson's sixth No. 1 on the tally and it arrives with his best sales frame for an album since 1995's "HIStory" started atop the Billboard 200 with 391,000 copies.

Jackson collected his first No. 1 with "Thriller" in 1983 and later notched toppers with "Bad," "Dangerous," "HIStory" and "Invincible." Earlier this year, Jackson also notched a No. 1 on the Top Comprehensive Albums and Top Pop Catalog Albums charts with the 2003 greatest hits set "Number Ones."

The "This Is It" film bowed with late-night showings on Tuesday, Oct. 27, before rolling out wide the following day. Through Monday, Nov. 2, the film had collected $36.9 million at the box office in the U.S. and Canada. It's already the second-highest grossing musical concert film in the U.S. and Canada behind "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" ($65.3 million).

"This Is It" is one of five albums to arrive in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart this week. The second-best debut comes from a reunited Creed, which sees its "Full Circle" enter at No. 2 with 110,000 copies. It's the band's first studio release since way back in 2001, when its "Weathered" started at No. 1 with 887,000 in its first week.

Taylor Swift's "Fearless" flies from No. 7 last week to No. 3 this week with 109,000 and a big 225% gain. The set was reissued in a "platinum" deluxe edition last week, with numerous additional bonus tracks and a DVD.

Rod Stewart's latest covers set, "Soulbook," sings out at No. 4 in its first week, starting with 84,000 while Trans-Siberian Orchestra bows at a career-high No. 5 with its new effort, "Night Castle." Sting's holiday-esque album "If On A Winter's Night" rings in the season at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 copies. It also reaches No. 1 on our Top Holiday Albums chart.

Last week`s Billboard 200 Nº1, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" soundtrack slips to No. 8 with 69,000 copies (down 55%), while Michael Buble's "Crazy Love" falls from No. 3 to No. 7 with 71,000 (down 30%). Last week's biggest debut, Tim Mc Graws's "Southern Voice," falls from No. 2 to No. 9 with 59,000 (down 57%). Rounding out the top 10 is Jay-Z's "The Blueprint 3," which slides six places to No. 10 with 41,000 (down 5%).

Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Nov. 1) totaled 6.31 million units, up 10% compared to the sum last week (5.72 million) and down 9% compared to the same sales week of 2008 (6.96 million). Year to date album sales stand at 287.6 million, down 13% compared to the same total at this point last year (332.3 million) (Billboard.com).
